Grapefruit Fragrance Oil is a perfumery blend that smells like fresh-cut ruby grapefruit—sparkling citrus, a little sweet-tart, with a clean peel/zest note. Great for bright, refreshing scents in home-fragrance and bath/beauty projects.

Why use it

• Instantly energizing and deodorizing; great for kitchens, bathrooms, and summer blends

• More stable & long-lasting than many natural citrus essential oils

• Usually non-phototoxic (unlike cold-pressed grapefruit essential oil), though you should still follow your supplier’s IFRA limits

How it’s used

Measure by weight and start low, then adjust.

Home fragrance

• Candles: 6–10% fragrance oil by wax weight (citrus often shines at 8–10%); cure ~1 week.

• Wax melts: 8–12%.

• Reed diffusers: 15–25% in a diffuser base (e.g., DPG/Augeo).

• Room/linen spray: 1–3% in alcohol or a solubilized water base.

Bath & body (always check your supplier’s IFRA sheet and patch test)

• Leave-on (lotions, body oils, perfumes): ~0.5–2%.

• Rinse-off (soap, shower gel): ~2–4% of batch weight or ~3–5% of oils for cold-process soap.

Other ideas

• A few drops on unscented sachets or potpourri for drawers.

• Car vent diffusers or ceramic stones.

Blends well with: other citruses (lemon, lime, bergamot), herbs (basil, mint), neroli/orange blossom, light florals (freesia), and soft woods (cedar).

Safety & tips

• Do not apply undiluted or ingest. Keep away from pets/children.

• Some ultrasonic diffusers aren’t designed for fragrance oils—check the device manual.

• Store tightly closed in a cool, dark place to prevent oxidation.
